TodaysMeet is a way for students to communicate using our schools' new Google Chromebooks or any device with web access.
When using TodaysMeet, users can create private chats, discussing topics from casual topics to political standpoints, making it an easy way to meet with people across the internet.
TodaysMeet is great for the classroom, as you can have discussions between students without all the ruckus and can assemble many students for a conversation without having a crowded room. TodaysMeet also helps teachers with discipline because on TodaysMeet you cannot delete your messages. This can also become a way for students from not just one school to gather, but a place for many schools to have discussion.
At RQMS we use TodaysMeet quite often. For example, classes this year have used it to discuss politics in Egypt and Syria while studying ancient Egypt. Students were able to see other people's opinions and some perspectives were changed. Additionally, classes used it to discuss book trailers during a book fair preview in the library.
